Dh wants me to ruin it for ds for no reason.

My ds is 11. He still believes in Santa and all the other holiday characters. My dh thinks that's ridiculous and wants to tell him they aren't real. I asked him why and the only reason he has is because he's too old. Well ds still has just as much fun as his younger siblings making a list for Santa, baking cookies, etc. He loves Christmas and I want him to enjoy every aspect of it for as long as he can. Of course he'll find out eventually and everything will be fine. I'm sure he'll still love Christmas but it will definitely be different, it always is once you know there's no Santa.
I told dh I'm not going to tell him for no reason. If he asks or ends up telling me he doesn't believe anymore I, obviously, won't push it anymore but I'm not going to ruin it when the only reason is that according to dh's arbitrary age limit, he's too old.

My ds is 11 and still believes too. I won't ruin the magic of childhood, reality of life will come soon enough

That's exactly how I feel. He has his entire life ahead of him to be grown up and know all the "secrets" behind the magic. Why ruin it now?

Don't tell him. Your husband can continue thinking it's ridiculous.
