Assistant seems like a phony

I'm starting to think my assistant is a big phony! She'll badmouth people, but then bring them in brownies or homemade soup. I wonder what she says about me behind my back. She buys lunch for other people, and she seems to kiss up to the head people at the company :(. She also is starting to socialize more, when I need her help w paperwork. I want to get my work done during work hours. I have friends and family to socialize with after work. I'm friendly, but I don't view work as a big social event.

What do you think? How would you handle this?

It's hard because she has been at the company a long time and is well liked. I've been here six months, but I feel things with her are shifting.

She acts just like the assistant where I work. Bad mouths everyone even her boss but then is sugar sweet to everyone. Does no work unless her boss is there. Stands around socializing when her boss is t there.
