Because he doesn't. He lives 5 miles down the road. He rules his house, I rule mine.

Mine usually has the final say in decisions.  I tell the kids "If daddy says ok, then it's fine".  We discuss any major decisions.  If we are not seeing eye to eye, he weighs my opinion just as he would his own and makes the best decision possible for our family.

There are times that I have over ridden his decision or made a decision without him because he was taking to long, but those are usually medical and he defers to me anyway.  He knows that I know more about what is going on with the kids medically than he does.  I'm not even sure if he has the pediatrician's number in his phone or the allergist for our YDD.

Neither one of us rules the house. We're partners. We like it that way.
