Planning a trip to NYC.

We came up with a few ideas as far as plays, Wicked, The Lion King and The Blueman Group.

Restraunts, Jekyll and Hyde, Carmines, Calaente Cab Co.

Looking at a few hotels, haven't decided on one yet.

Any recommendations for plays, restraunts, hotels and anything else is much appreciated.

We are staying for 5 days and 4 nights. Dd will be with us, she is 14.

Haven't been to NYC in years so no good recommendations sorry. Holding a place to hear what others chime in. Enjoy your trip!

Have you seen STOMP? We liked it more than the blue man group.

With kids it’s great to do the quintessential New York stuff:
Central Park
The Statue of Liberty
Empire States Building
Twin Towers
Grand Central Station
Time Square
Radio City Music Hall
Rockefeller Center

I would also take mine to visit the Met. and the the Museum of Natual History.

I know that these are really “touristy places” but so much of pop culture (books, movies, etc. refer to these places, I’d like to give my kids the chance to see them so later when these places are references, my kids can relate)

Also, St. Patrick’s Cathedral is amazing!
I liked the Guggenheim, but I don’t know that my kids would (they are younger than yours though).

I homeschool my kids, so I am always looking for ways to relate what we are doing to our studies. We are currently studying the U.N., so I would probably be the dorky mom trying to get a informational tour of the U.N. ☺️

My favorite restaurants in the city is Trattoria Dell’arte. Mmmm! It’s amazing Italian food.

I could be wrong, but I saw an ad last week on those Kiosks that Avenue Q is coming back. I'm a little excited if this is true

We stayed at the Hotel Pennsylvania. Old and outdated. Not the cleanest hotel but it was in THE BEST location. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot.
