I took my ds to the park today he is 4. He started acting up and not behaving. I told him we were going. I put him in the car in his seat. As I was going home he unbuckled himself and started kicking my seat. How would other moms handled that.

The moms here would call CPS and blame you.

Ugh. Thanks for reminding me how much I hated that age.

Ignore the tantrum while outwardly calmly take him to his room until it was over. The only words spoken would be "when you are calm you can come apologize for your behavior and explain to me why you acted that way".

In my head I'd be screaming.

I would tell him it's illegal to not wear a seatbelt and then drive him to the police station and tell him you have to turn him in

No more trips in the car until he understands how wrong that was. Remind him daily that he's not going anywhere in the car and why.

I would have pulled the car over, and told him that he is to stay in his seat and not kick, if he did it again I would take away something he liked for a couple of days.
