Well you should have read your contract!

There is a girl that started working where I do a few months ago. She recently called out 3 times and put us in a really bad position.

Our contracts make it very clear... except for in the case of an actual emergency you must find a replacement or pay any costs that occur because work has to find a replacement.

She came in yelling and screaming this morning saying she didnt get paid enough. That her paycheck was only $100 when it should have been a lot more than that. My boss told her that that wasnt the case, that she got paid the proper amount

She said she worked ___ many hours and only got paid for some of them. My boss said no... she technically got paid for all the hours she did work but the costs of having to bring in a replacement for her during those 3 days. She said that they couldnt do that. My boss told her it was directly in the contract. She said that was BS and unfair and she didnt even read the whole thing

We were all kind of shocked. Like who signs an employment contract without even reading it? On top of that it would have been brought up during training so she is either really dumb or just trying to play dumb. She left in tears saying that my boss was a horrible person.

I hope they fire her for acting that way.

The owner IS a shitty dick-face for having that policy but she was aware and signed it anyway. This is on her for being stupid enough to work there.

She isnt the one who set the policy. It is corporate policy. It is the norm in any jobs like ours in the area

Agree. What Kind of work place does that. I would never work for someone like that.

Well this situation is far from unheard of so that isnt really a surprise that someone had a similar experience

It's her fault for not having read the contract before she signed it.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was let go.

I corrected it because I meant to put owner, not boss.
