When talking to him about his child, I accidentally said "Finn" instead of "Finnegan" and he flipped his shit.

He shouldn't have named his son that if he was going to be that upset about the name Finn.

Well, I wouldn't flip out on you, but I would politely correct you. None of my kids like any nickname that anyone has tried to give them, so we do not use nicknames.

DD has a Finnegan in her class that went by Finn for a couple of years. I know he prefers Finnegan now, but I've accidentally called him Finn several times out of habit.

I've met his mom and she seems like someone who would flip out over a mistake like that, too, lol.

What's your relationship with dad. I wouldn't want anyone giving my son nick names if we didn't know each other well or if I didn't call him it first infront of them to let them know it was okay.

haha my kid doesn't care what you call him as long as you don't call him late for dinner! He's my chunky monkey
