DH is against them. He wants to let the kids go for a few hours then pick them up.

I say all or nothing.

Why is he against them? How old are your kids?

My daughter is 6 and just had her first sleep over this past summer. I think kids need to experience a night away from their parents.

We don't know the other kids. Sexual abuse, physical abuse. They are 7 and 8

They spend the night with their Godparents.

I don’t like them either. There’s no reason for them....

If we don’t know the families then we say no but offer to have a sleepover here and to also get to know the parents. If they are kids and families we know, then it’s fine. Sleepovers are normal for our kids and we host them quite often as well.

How do you not know the other kids at these ages? Are they from school? Go over and meet them.

Wow. Judgemental much!

My aunt is hosting it for her grandchild. I don't know her grandchild friends.

My daughter is 10 and she hasn’t done one outside of family yet, I’m just not comfortable so I get it.
