Are there such things? Head wraps but for public use. Dd is mixed and she has short hair (had to cut it yesterday) she is worried of the kids at school being mean about it (she's 5). She said she wants a hat but hats fall off and arent allowed inside classrooms

If hats aren't allowed then head coverings aren't either unless it's a religious head covering.

Tell the school that your child is of muslim decent and she should then be allowed to wear a head scarf.  Just a twisted rule in the United States
