I shouldn't say anything, right?

so my SIL is a tricky one. known her for years and years but she is snobby. but sometimes she will say that she wants to try to get together more and nice stuff like that. but i try to arrange it and it comes with resistance.

anyways, someone in the family told me that she had twins as a surrogate. i have not seen her since last christmas and she never mentioned that she was pregnant this whole time!

so i will probably see her this christmas. do i mention it or just not say anything? i feel if she wanted me to know she would have already told me that she was pregnant or told me she had twins. i feel i shouldn't say anything and if she does bring it up, just act like i never heard it. WWYD?

You really don't have a moral compass of your own?
What do YOU think is the right thing to do?

Don’t mention it. If she wanted you to know she would have told you. And since she was a surrogate they weren’t her babies so she probably didn’t think it was a big deal if you knew.

I wouldn't mention it unless she did.

This. It’s not really your business if she didn’t make it so.

Many surrogates have feelings attached to the babies they give to others.
. Why would you bring it up to one in the form of "congratulations"?
