All work and no play makes Blues a dull girl

Hey cafemom! I had an adventure today. Starting the packing process and headed to the new house with things to winterize the house. The sky was clear all morning. By the time I got to the house in the afternoon we had a few inches of snow. This wouldn’t be an issue since I’m used to snow. However, my car can’t make it up the driveway. The damn thing is so steep and covered in ice that the car wouldn’t make it. Thankfully it is November in Vermont which means that will be changing. The next few days should be warm enough to melt what has accumulated.

But it has my wheels turning. If we get a good snow storm this winter we will be locked in. No way will I get down the driveway safely and if I do no way will I get back up it. Even the local farmer who I met today said that he would only plow that driveway if the price was right and even then he might decline. It’s treacherous to say the least. So, my wheels are turning about what I will need to survive up there if we get snowed in. Tomorrow I’m taking a trip to Costco. I’ll be going aisle by aisle and stocking up.

Here’s where you lovely ladies come in. I want to make sure I have everything I will need to survive a month there. Everything from food, heating fuel, and medical supplies. We are going to make the house our compound. I need suggestions. If you were to be snowed in for a month what supplies would you have? Help me make a list.

We will walk to the end of the driveway. The bus will pick her up.

Off topic but did you used to be in the army? Or air force? Something military?

If you can walk to the end of the driveway why wouldn't you just park your car up there when snow was in the forecast?
