All these posts about Christmas and drama and all that makes me so glad we did it in July this year.

That is my "confession"

I get to relax for the rest of the year and the only holiday to "worry" about is New Years.

For us it is. Many people celebrate it in July. That is winter time here.

Not everyone likes a hot as balls christmas.

So because the northern hemisphere has depicted Christmas as a winter holiday, you feel it needs to be cold to celebrate? Are there other reasons?

If I lived where it was hot during the Christmas season I would celebrate it in July too. We homeschool and we choose to take our longer break in the winter rather than the summer because we hate the heat and love the Christmas season. It's so much more fun to be shopping, going to Christmas parties, doing Christmas activities, etc during break than it is to be trapped inside with only swimming as a reprieve all summer.

My in laws are toxic. I wonโ€™t let my kids go without me because hubby is hearing impaired and misses things. I will start doing this for our immediate family.

You're weird, that's weird.

I have no drama... It's just us, good food, fun events and holiday cheer.
