He doesn't understand.

I used to be a night owl. Worked 3rd shift, loved late nights out, even at home I was up til 2 or 3 am..at least.

Not the situation now. Come 9 pm I'm exhausted. By 10 I'm so beyond ready for bed I start to get cranky. It's now a quarter past and I'm about to just go lay down and tell dh it's on him to get the kids down seeing how he's the one keeping them up.

But of course there will be a fight because he doesn't understand that I'm no longer the person that wants to be up all night. I want to go to bed at decent times, wake up at decent times. And be productive throughout the day. Funny he used to get mad when I was up all night. No winning.

Why would you have a fight about you going to bed?

Cause then he has to deal with the kids alone.

Why aren’t the kids in bed?

11 8 7 and 4. It's their first night of vacation, so I promised a movie night. Sleeping in the living room and all. It's a pain to set up but they love it. But he's in my way or I'd set it up before I go to bed. It's annoying.

So it's a special occasion, not a nightly orcurance? Stay up and enjoy your family.

Don't tell him, just go to bed.  He'll figure it out.

Ok I understand that. Just tell him to get out of the way, or work around him. Better yet let him set it up, if he wants to get pissy then let him.
