Just heard on the news that the pope wants to "alter" a passage in the bible! Okay that's just wrong no matter who you are!

I am pretty sure in the holy bible it says no one shall add or take away from this holy book. He is doing both! Maybe he missed that part!

I am not Catholic and even I know this is wrong.

This...there are so many different versions of the Bible I wouldn't waste my time getting upset about it

He wants to change the wording of the Our Father. He’s not changing the Bible.
As a Catholic I’m against it, leave the prayer alone.

Lol. They added that BECAUSE of this issue, it wasn’t original. Scribes would arbitrarily change things as they copied, and most of those changes are in the Bible you think is original and holy and written by gods hand through various historical figures. Couldn’t be farther from the truth!

It also was added after hundreds of thousands of edits. When you compare the oldest copies of the Bible there are more discrepancies than their are words.

Oh, boy. Perhaps he's just going to alter a passage from one of the books that Protestants don't even include in their version.
The books in the Bible were voted on by a room of men. I just can't get overly excited about the supposed infallibility of Bible. You know it wasn't even written in English originally, right?
The Bible that we read has already been translated many times.
