And he needed a calculator to figure out my total :-/

I watched him use his phone’s calculator to figure out my change back when I ordered a blizzard at Dairy Queen.

We really need to work on eduction here in the US.

I double check my math at work with a calculator. Better to do that than make a simple error.

Why didn’t he use the cash register?

Educated people don't work at dairy queen. I wouldn't judge everyone by one person working at a fast food joint.

My total at Taco Bell was $16.27. I gave her $17. She used the calculator on her phone to figure out my change because she put the wrong amount tendered into the register. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I don’t know, I wondered the same thing actually.

I thought about asking but I didn’t want to be rude, he did put the money in the cash register though.

When I'm really tired I cant compute simple math. Has nothing to do with my education.

The register didn’t calculate the change for him? Some people are awful at mental math. I’ve dealt with it a lot at places. My own daughter is bad at mental math. My son can add/subtract in his head without issue.

My husband's a civil engineer and uses his calculator every day. 🤔

I just asked both of my kids (9 and 11) and their response was 15.02 for change.

I think I'm doing a good job with them.  LOL
