I've posted this before. Figure some of y'all need your morning judging so here ya go. Most of dd's gifts will come from dollar tree.

At least get her some quality socks. Try Gap Kids or Banana Republic or something.

I don't see anything wrong with it. How old is she? My 7 year old wouldn't care, he would be happy.

Dollar Tree items are usually crap. I'm all for finding a good deal but buying crap isn't a good deal no matter the cost.

She's at the age where you can get away with this. She's outgrown toys by now and most likely doesn't care as much as when she was a young kid.

Thats not why people judged you. It was because she sent it out to extended family telling them what to get her.

Haha definitely. That, the cloth, and craft aisle stuff is why I said some.

She's 12. This is what she asked family for but we're getting her some of it too.

Ok then no judgment here! Have you thought about a book on origami and some beautiful paper from Michaels? I got that once as a kid and had so much fun.
