What say you?

Luck?

Hard work?

Bills until you're 70?

I broke out of it and so did my mom.  It took us lots of hard work to get where we are, but we got out.

My SO and I bust our butts to make sure that our kids have a better life than we did.

Education, knowledge and hard work. It is a hard road but it can be done.

Hard work. School is expensive, but there's many other routes you can go to work your way up.

Hard work, marrying money, busting your ass before having kids to build a savings. Getting a degree in a high paying field.

There's a bunch of ways to break it but most people don't realize that and think that's just how it's gonna be.

Of course it can be done. Education is key, and it doesn't even have to be an expensive formal education. It's free to learn pretty much anything.

Yes. I grew up in poverty. I did everything different than my parents. When they said school wasn't important I studied. I avoided sex until I could afford birth control. I worked three jobs at times. I was 30 when I had my first kid. Delayed gratification, hard work, not repeating my parents mistakes and marrying a good person are why I am wealthy now.

Recognition of the cycle, educating yourself and applying your knowledge to better your situation, a little luck, and time. You can absolutely get out of the cycle, you just have to want to take the steps necessary.
