In my state, schools with a proverty rate of 40% or more now must stock the bathrooms with feminine hygiene products.I'M sorry, but that's really stupid. Why should the schools be required to provide pads and/ or tampons? It's not their damn job,it's the parents job. I'm not talking about providing pads for emergencies, that's of course a good idea. However to force schools to FULLY provide girls with period products is insane! If a parent can not buy pads for the daughter there is something seriously wrong.

I’m okay with making sure girls don’t have to worry about their periods and can instead concentrate on learning.

You’d rather we let girls bleed through their clothes?

Yes, there is something wrong when families can't provide feminine products because a. They are crazy expensive and b. They are not covered by bridge cards

Because a girl should not have to miss school because her family can't afford tampons. Sometimes the future of a child in need is more important than who "should" be doing something.

I am fine with this. It's a small cost that prevents bullying and embarrassment.

My church has baskets in every ladies bathroom with pads and tampons for free. I wish all public bathrooms would put a small basket out with products, half of the tampon machines don't work anyways.
