Would you date an ex-con?

This man is 34 years old, has a business degree and a corporate job in DC. Rents an apt but is saving for a condo and will be able to buy next year. He is smart, polite, and romantic. He doesn't do drugs, only drinks on weekends, enjoys fine dining and culture. He is absolutely the kind of man your parents would love.

Let's say your on your 3rd date and you're really liking him alot. Then he drops the bomb that he was in prison for 2 years for selling pharmaceuticals to rich white kids when he was in his early 20s.

Deal breaker, or nah?

2 moms liked this

I would give it a chance. Sometimes prison actually rehabilitates. It's not like you need to jump into a relationship with him, anyway.

I might feel a bit sketchy about him, but I'd probably give him a chance.

This is a hypothetical. Based on a guy I know, but I'm at the one deciding whether or not to date him. But I'm glad to know you'd give him a chance 😉

Nah not a deal breaker. He made a mistake and learned from it.
