Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day?

I’m not a fan of Valentine’s Day (being single for 8+ years definitely contributes), but I do try to get my son a little something (he’s 9). I won’t spend more than $15-$20, but I’m getting bored of simple candy and a card. Any unique ideas?

I would love unique ideas.  VD depends on money.  I would like to get the kids a little something but i dont know what it would be.

No. It’s just not our thing. We go out to eat and buy things all the time as it is. I’m one to avoid crowds so we don’t bother going out to dinner or anything.

Yes. I was just thinking about it. Giving candy never gets old. I'm not sure what else I'm going to get to go along with the candy yet.

Yes. I’ve already discovered what I’m going to get my husband too! Usually we let the girls pick something small out too. Last year my husband was away and we didn’t celebrate at all. Me and a friend whose husband was also working took all of our kids out to dinner and then went and got something special for them.
