I put lines through my “7”s and “Z”s. And diagonal dashes through my zeros. My husband thinks it’s weird.

I guess it’s just my catholic school upbringing.

How about you?

I don’t do that, but I’ve seen it. I never understood why.

No lines. No dashes.

My dd was putting lines through 7s and dashes through 0s when she was 13. She thought it was fancy. ;)

I do it. I started it when I was doing coding so I could tell a 0 from an O

1 mom liked this

I went to Catholic school and was never taught to put lines through 7s and Zs. The lines through the zero makes sense when you are writing a random combination of letters and numbers to distinguish O from 0.

I put lines through my 7s and Zs.  I don't do that through my zeros.

I'm not Catholic and never attended Catholic school.  I didn't know that was a connection.  I just like the way it looks.
