Question about kids and the flu

Would you take your kids to the park to play when your state was put under a state of emergency for the flu outbreak? I have a school aged child and a toddler who is home with me all day. None of us got the shots.

*Edit*

We went and had a great time!

I'd take them. Lol no flu shots ever. No flu ever. Actually 13 years ago my oldest got the flu after the shot.

Yes. We just sanitize after playing at the park, I make them wear mittnes anyways since it's super duper freaking cold right now anyhow, so unless someone sneezes in my kids' faces I'm not super concerned with it.

I wouldn't, but I don't ever take mine to the park much anyway.. especially when it's in the 30s like it is today. Nope.

The flu is bad here, but we still do normal stuff. I'm the only one in our household that has had a flu shot.

Do you still take them to the store? School? Out in public?

The park is no more dangerous

Sure, just make sure they don't put hands in their mouth or on their nose or eyes before washing them.

Why not. Seems like those that get the flu had the shot.

It is 4 degrees here NOT counting windchill so the park wasn't an option to start with. LOL

IF however the state was put under some state of emergency I'd take that seriously. Since the flu isn't currently any state of emergency it is life as usual.

Outdoor park? Yes

Indoor... yuck... no, we avoid those all year round.
