Is this normal for the suburbs?

Forgive me, i haven’t lived in the suburbs since I was a kid but I don’t remember it being so noisy!

On my street we have maybe 10 houses. The house directly across from me, the one next to me, and another one a house down, are all getting construction done so I hear them all hammering and sawing all day long. Then we have people working on a pot hole for few days.

It’s so noisy! I thought the suburbs were supposed to be somewhat quiet.

Then there’s the cat situation. Our neighbor has like 5 or 6 cats that hang out at all of the neighbors houses. I guess the others don’t care but I find it weird when I go outside and see their cats sleeping in my follower bed.

Is this all normal for the suburbs??

Some burbs are noisy, some are not.

the construction will end, but the cat situation may be forever.

Sounds normal to me... lol but there are noise ordinances that prevent loud noises between certain times.

You're asking if it's normal for construction to be noisy? I don't think it matters where construction happens...it's noisy.

But yeah suburbs are typically congested areas. We're there are a lot of people there will be noise.

I've never thought of the suburbs as quiet. Those are all to be expected , I assumed.

I doubt the construction noise will last for a long time...maybe a month or two, depending whats being done.

We had a lady that had a few cats that would roam around the neighborhood but all but 1 cat disappeared this past summer.
