What did you do first?

How did you emotionally support your children?

I cried and we just spent a lot of time together.

I fell completely to pieces though, I don't recommend that.

We just muddled through, probably horribly, but they are great now.

Mine refused to leave. The judge had to CO him out. I think we took a weekend trip just to clear our heads.

I didn't cry until almost a year later when I was doing the dishes. It just all came out then. And that was the only time. I moved in with a friend for a month, bought a house and signed for joint custody and was done with it and him

My kids were tiny, They really didnt know the difference.

First i emptied the checking act and had a get away purse with birth certificates and social security cards and passports.

I am so sorry.  I know it feels like you will die.  But I promise you won't.

I wanted to die, I was lost, lonely, heart broken and I spent 3 months mostly in bed.

I don't have great advice because I don't think I handled it well AT ALL  but I made it through and so can you.  PM me if you want.

He didn't leave, I left him.

He went crazy, started stalking me, started threatening me and harassing me.

Don't be like that. It just makes the other person hate you more. I despise my ex.

I left him so it wasn't hard in that aspect. The kids didn't care, it was harder being away from their sisters and in a shelter.
