I had to send this to my own grandmother, and being a southerner who’s never driven in snow I think this will help me 😜

Lol, that's perfect.

Then you have "those" people who are from the midwest who think its fun to drive in snow. So when the southern streets are empy we go out slaloming in our suvs.

That one's been all over FB for days now. LOL

Unfortunately, people are stupid. Our area has been covered in ice for days as it was under the 2.5" of snow we got on Wednesday.. My FB is flooded with pictures of cars in ditches and flipped due to hitting sheets of ice. Thankfully, it will be 52 today and finally stay above freezing tonight so it will melt and not refreeze for a 3rd time. I'm venturing out in a few hours, but I'm waiting until it is well above freezing and stuff has started to melt again.

Or we just close everything and stay home.  A lot safer.

Actually, that is really good advice - and almost exactly what I was going to say, only funnier.

Accelerate slowly, brake slowly, think hard about changing lanes or passing people.  And if you skid, steer into it.  Do not brake hard - you will just find yourself twirling around.   Do not tailgate.   Carry a cel phone if possible, and dress appropiately for the outdoor weather in case you do need to be towed out of a snowbank.

I almost as north as you can get. I love eighty degrees. And sweet tea is disgusting.
