My Dh has a child from a previous relationship. His child support gets taken directly from his pay checks. He already has his W2 from work.does child support send anything that we need for when he files. Not sure if we need to wait for it to come in the mail or go ahead and file with his W2

No child support isn't even considered in his filing.

You don't get to write off child support payments.

Child support has nothing to do with taxes. His w2 is all he needs. He cannot deduct child support.

This made me laugh. She must think he gets some kind of credit for paying it.

No. Dh just uses his w2.

You don’t get a tax credit for child support.

In this case, child support has nothing to do with his taxes.
