Military kids are going to starve

Thanks to this government shutdown commissaries across the country will be closing until this mess is resolved. What can we do to make sure that military children don't starve? The troops put their lives on the line everyday, it's not fair that their kids won't have access to food.

You people get so worked up over everything. Anyone (except this Thomas guy) with the sense of a tick knows no child in the military is going to starve because of this shut down. Quit taking this group so seriously. Parents like y'all raise kids that eat Tide pods.

Maybe the democrats should stop being a bunch of fucking cry babies. 95% of the dems voted yes to shut down the government.

They aren't going to starve. Military families are not banned from normal grocery stores.

😂 you clearly don't pay attention to what actually caused the shutdown.

The longest government shutdown was three weeks. I doubt this beats that and I doubt anyone starves.

Bit they aren't getting paid until this mess is fixed.

Most military families get paid on the 1st and 15th. Let’s hope they get this resolved in the next few days and then they won’t starve.

Also they can go to any grocery store...

There’s still several days until the commissaries close, their parents can get food. And if not, they can just go to a different store, they’re not limited to shopping at the commissary.

No one is going to starve and there are plenty of regular grocery stores to shop at. The military relief societies and commands will take care of the younger families which are the ones that this will hit the hardest. Military credit unions such as USAA and Navy Federal continue to pay the military members who use their services and take the money back when pay comes through.

It has happened before more than once, including once when I was in the military and had a child. It sucks yes, it's not death for army brats.

No military child has ever starved to death because of this. This is just being dramatic.
