Financial irresponsibility to the point it destroys your lifestyle
Excessive weight gain
Losing interest in sex
Spying on your spouse
Obsessive behavior
Etc etc

Cheating is terrible behavior in a marriage because it completely dismisses that your partner has feelings.....but so is everything listed above.

It is worse than any of that.  Cheating is comparable to a death as far as severity to me.  None of those others are to me.

Maybe true, but it’s still the worst.

Everything on the list can be fixed. You can't undo someone sleeping with a person that isn't their spouse.

Lots of people can gain weight or lose interest in sex for medical reasons.  Neither of those things are a betrayal.

Being cheated on is the worst pain I have ever felt in my life.  Ever.

Cheating is worse, there really isn't any regaining trust after a spouse cheats. Pretty much every other issue that isn't abuse can be worked on, and trust regained.

Cheating is an automatic deal breaker for me. Some of the other things you listed are not.

Medical problems can cause excessive weight gain and loss of interest in sex. Are you suggesting I should divorce because he’s ill?

Mostly agree. Except the weight gain/ lost interest in sex thing. That can sometimes be an effect of natural change/ health issues as we grow older.

Its not up to you to decide that for others not t everyone puts the same importance on all of those things as you do.

You do you and don't worry about how others live in their marriages

Well, the financial thing is kind of cheating. Financial infidelity. But lots of people do it, even if it's little things like sneaking purchases into the house so your partner doesn't see them.
