Which sounds like the right amount to spend on a teen's clothing per year?

Closer to $625 total (for everything), or closer to $950?

ETA: I saw online that the avg for my state (Minnesota) is $58 a month for low income parents and $76 a month for high income parents.

I don’t keep track of how much I spend on my kids clothes.

I have no idea. I buy as needed and don't keep track.

I have twins and $1000 sounds about right. But they also have uniforms and they grow so damn fast. I cut costs by buying Payless shoes instead of Nike or converse.

For the entire year? Shit, it’d be closer to $950 if not more..

I honestly have no clue. I don't keep count of what I spend on clothes throughout the year.

Well, like would a clothing allowance to give a teen be more reasonable if it was closer to $50 or $75 a month?

I have 2 teen girls-trust me we are better off NOT keeping track of what's spent

How old? If sixteen or over, they can work if they want more clothes. A monthly clothing allowance seems like a sure fire way to breed entitlement.

I have a 14 year old boy and we spend more than that on shoes alone.
