Just a vent

MIL has DD. I should never have agreed to letting her go there. But, I did, and now look at what's happened. She was poking around in DD's ear with a qtip and said there is blood. Then she kept going with her otoscope and now says DD needs the ER because now both ears are bloody and swollen. Of course, she's certain there's an infection. It can't possibly by the fact she poked DD with the q tip.

ETA: I got back from the ER with her. No blood, no evidence of infection or ruptured eardrum. She's good. MIL wanted me to insist on antibiotics, but I told the doctor that wasn't necessary while he wasn't seeing a sign of infection. The copay was about $140, so there's $140 down the drain.

Possible she ruptured her ear drum. My son did that with a q tip once.

I know, I know. I guess there's an off chance it's an infection. But I'm pretty sure it's MIL.

How old is she? There is no reason for a mil to be poking anywhere on a child. I would go ape crazy.

You are being way too calm about an adult hurting your child. I mean that’s cool .... but if she is hurting your kid document it so that she can never claim rights to them.
