My nephews both af the flu shot and got the flu. But they didn’t have the shot until January and got the flu within a week of getting it.

My son and I had our shots and were the nephews caretakers while their household adults all had the flu and still chose to work (family if 6). We did not.

Apparently the people who have gotten the flu shot then turned around and got the flu were actually sicker then those who didn't get the flu shot.

Yes.  I get a flu shot every years for about 20 years now.  This was the first time I got the flu anyway. Down for about 2 weeks - with Tamilflu!  But it still was no where near as bad as when I got the flue many years ago with no flu shot.  That time I lost 12 lbs and gotten leave the bed.

They probably got sick in the window of time it takes for the shot to start working which I thought was like two weeks...and that it doesn’t protect you 100% from the flu.

Not in my case.  The one time I had flue with no shot was much, much worse.  Every year there are different stains, several at the same time.  So I don't see how that assesment could be made.

You don't understand how the vaccine works do you?

There is not magic vaccine that prevents everyone from getting all strains of flu in one season.  You should do just a tiny bit of research on what a flu shot does do.

You can still get the flu even if you get the flu shot.
