Eh, I think it’s fine but I don’t adhere to all the rules when it comes to weddings. I recognize that things change.

My opposition to it stems from my belief that living together before marriage is inappropriate. After that thought, though, I do think its somewhat tacky.

Even if they didnt live together surely they could combine what they had. (Assuming they had lived on their own) these gifts originated because brides and grooms generally remained in the family home, until marriage.
