Is it now reality that we should expect and even accept that our teenagers will have sex?

Nope. My children know that is not an option. I am also a SAHM so they have no unsupervised time.

I’m hoping my children will wait until they’re at least out of high school before having sex. If they don’t, I hope they protect themselves from STDs and pregnancy. That’s about all I can do.

I don't "expect" it, but I'm not naive enough to think it's not possible.

Hell no I don’t expect it and I surely won’t accept it. I hope my kids are smarter than that. Having sex as a teenager can ruin your life.

After a certain age, 15/16ish, then I have no problem with it if they are safe.

Yes. They will be allowed to date at 16 and if they are in a long term relationship odds are they will have sex before they graduate at 18. Doesn't mean I will be ok with it or make it easy for them. We will continue to teach them to wait and hope they make it until graduation. But realistically it will probably happen sooner. Unless they don't have a long term significant other in high school.

I don’t expect it. So far my kids are the complete opposites of me which is a good thing. I was having sex at 13 but dh was a Virgin until we were married. They are taking after him luckily.
