Why do some say sale instead of sell?

Is it a regional thing? Example "I'm going to sale this piece of furniture".

They are different words with different meanings. Sell is a verb, sale is a noun.

I.e. Sally hopes to sell this chair at her yard sale.

It's not regional. There are differences between the two.

Sale is a noun and sell is a verb. A lot of people use them wrong.

It isn't bc people are weird they spell these words wrong, it is bc they are ignorant.

Some people don’t see the difference and sometimes when typing fast one word comes out over the other.
