My husband and I are getting ready to divorce, well today my dog got ina fight with his dog so he got pissed and took the dog and surrendered her to the shelter. I was not home (we were arguing over the phone) i was wondering if you know if i can get the dog back, if i can re adopt her. He took her vaccine papers to the shelter my name is on all of them his are on none. So im wondering if i explain to them what happened and tell them to look at the papers if they will let me have her back?

::::UPDATE::::

You may need to file a police report.

He misrepresented himself as the dog’s owner so that he would not have to tolertate said dog.

Fraud is committed when one misrepresents for their own personal gain.
