Well yes, if they want to be constipated.

I've eaten my share of MREs, the ones they have nowadays are much better than the ones we had. 

While this seems like a good idea, the grocery stores would probably go out of business.

Ok, first of all... Deployed troops eat this while in the field. They have mess halls, cafeterias and fast food, even in the Mid East, that they eat in when they're not.

Mess halls and cafeterias serve real food, not MREs.

The other part of these meme also explained that those mres would end up costing more than what we give food st so recipients now

Plus it also said that there are rules about how long the military can feed that to their people.

So no. Feeding mres to people on welfare is stupid

Yes, 7+ a meal and yes high in calories. Most welfare recipients wouldn't eat them, most would just go to waste.
