Out to eat at nice restaurants? My children range from 3-9. We are going to eat at a nice restaurant tonight because my DH is traveling on business. We do this often. Do you?

Update: because they’re kids, they asked me to make them pancakes at home instead so I did. There goes my nice dinner 😐

Nope. When we go to a nice restaurant it is on a date.

Not nice nice because we couldn't afford to. They had no trouble behaving at restaurants, so I probably would have if we could have.

Depends on what you consider a β€œnice restaurant.”

Sometimes we did.  We taught (and enforced) good table manners at home, so being in a restaurant didn't require "different" behaviors.

No. We eat at home most of the time. When we do eat out, it is mainly casual places. We save fancy places for date nights.

Nicer than most high end chain restaurants. Entrees maybe $25 and up.

DH wasn't taken to restaurants as a young child until he was able to conform to the polite rules of etiquette.
DD was taught the rules of etiquette about the same age but without so much fuss.
