Is your child's school green?

My son's school recycles and they ask the kids to bring reusable dishes/silverware for special events/camping trips.  They also do some community service cleaning up in various parks (as well as feeding the homeless).

What does your child's school do to teach them to take care of the Earth?

That's pretty cool. My LO is way too young for school but its something I will be looking into when its time. :)

Wow, that's great!  I wish our school and more schools would do that.

I wish my daughter's school was. It would be so easy for them too because there are only a little over 100 kids in her school. I guess they are a little green because they cook meals from scratch and don't have prepackaged foods but they do use paper plates and plastic forks/spoons.

Hmmm....I should see of I can change that :)

To be honest, I have no idea how green they are. I guess I can ask about that on parent night next week. Last year it was easy. His school was as green as we are because we were his school. (He was homeschooled). He probably will be again next year if I find some satisfactory extracarriculars.

They recycle but other than that I'm sure how much of a green school they really are.
