Powdered Laundry Detergent
6 cups Borax
4 cups Baking Soda
4 cups Washing Soda
4 cups Bar soap (grated)
Mix all ingredients well and store in a sealed tub. Use 1/8 cup of powder per full load.
For the soap I use Fels Naptha which is like 97 cents at Walmart. Or I'll splurge and add a bar of Lavender Dr. Bronners but that's like $5 a bar!!
3 tablespoons coconut oil
3 tablespoons baking soda
1/2 small packet of stevia powder
20-25 drops of peppermint oil
Our bathroom gets cold so we have to unsrew the lid to get the toothpase out or put it in hot water.
Ingredients:
Coconut oil
baking soda
arrowroot powder or cornstarch
( I used cornstarch)
Combine equal portions of baking soda & arrowroot powder. I use about 1/4 cup each. Then slowly add coconut oil and work it in with a spoon until it maintains the substance you desire (I use approx 5-6 Tbls). It should be about the same texture as the store bought kind. You can either scoop this into your old dispensers or place in a small container with lid and apply with fingers with each use.
You may add EO's to it if you want it scented.
Half vinegar, half water, 3 tbls of lemon juice, 20 drops of an EO
I'm new to the homemade products so what's EO?
I just bought a couple of the ingredients yesterday to make my own laundry soap. I still have to get the A & H washing soda. The recipe I have is a little different from yours, SalmonBerry. This'll be my first time making it.
There are so many recipes out there for laundry soap!
