I found another recipe for hair detangler. I haven't tried it yet, but when I do I will let you all know how it works. I've found that one of the ingredients for the other recipe is really expensive, so i went looking for a more cost efficient ingredient. Here's the recipe:
Ingredients
8 ounces distilled water
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
8 drops glycerin
30 drops grapefruit essential oil
additional EO of your choice
16 drops jojoba
4 drops rosemary
4 drops lavender
I won't be using all of the essential oils listed, but I will make it the way I like it. I found this recipe on this website

Dish Soap
Ingredients:
-1 ½ cup of hot water
-½ cup castile soap (I usually use Dr. Bronner’s baby mild liquid soap, but feel free to use any scent just be sure to adjust/omit essential oils accordingly. You may want to use a variety that is already scented for a more frugal option.)
-1 tablespoon of white vinegar
-1 tablespoon of Arm&Hammer’s Super Washing Soda (used to thicken the soap)
-1/8 teaspoon of tea tree oil (optional)
This is the one I use but I don't use tea tree oil. Usually just castile soap, water, vinegar, and washing soda. Love this stuff. And since I have hard water then ass more washing soda to help. Hope this helps.
Have you used this? Does it work? I have thought about using this same recipe, but wasn't sure if it would work.

DEODORANT
Ingredients:
Coconut oil
baking soda
arrowroot powder or cornstarch
( I used cornstarch)
Combine equal portions of baking soda & arrowroot powder. I use about 1/4 cup each. Then slowly add coconut oil and work it in with a spoon until it maintains the substance you desire (I use approx 5-6 Tbls). It should be about the same texture as the store bought kind. You can either scoop this into your old dispensers or place in a small container with lid and apply with fingers with each use.
You may add EO's to it if you want it scented.
Vinegar Laundry Softener
1 gallon white vinegar
20-30 drops of essential oil
Plain lavender is one of my favorites, or a combination of sweet orange and lemon when I need a pick-me-up on laundry day! A third suggestion is to use peppermint, although I would cut this back to 15 drops because it is quite potent.
Just shake well before each use and it's ready for the rinse cycle. For small or average loads add 1/2 cup to the rinse cycle, for larger loads add about 1 cup to the rinse cycle.
Homemade dryer sheets
Cut cotton cloth into small squares. I use 5-inch squares of cotton t-shirts that I'm retiring. Add 3-5 drops of essential oil to your cloth and throw it in the dryer with your next load. These cotton dryer sheets can be used for 2 or 3 loads, each time adding 3 more drops of your favorite essential oil. Wash the cloth after a few uses and experiment with a new fragrance the next time! Some of my personal favorites are lavender, lemon, or grapefruit.
If you don't have essential oils and would like to try some other safe alternatives, consider the following:
Dampen hands with water & fluff laundry as it comes out of dryer to reduce static cling.
Use non-chemical dryer balls. Can be purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond for a few dollars.
Use felted wool dryer balls (available on etsy.com - get at least 6 to be used in each load).
Homemade natural hand sanitizer recipe
12 drops lavender essential oil
5 drops tea tree essential oil
1 1/2 Tablespoons Witch Hazel
12 ounces Aloe Vera Gel (available at health food stores—DO NOT use the green medicated variety that you would put on a sunburn)
Add essential oils to a small container and swirl to mix.
Add Witch Hazel to the oils and swirl again.
Add this mixture to the Aloe Vera Gel and mix well. Tips and warnings I simply added my new hand sanitizer to clean 3 or 4 ounce squirt bottles that had once contained commercial hand sanitizers. They already have the perfect lid that drops a dime-size portion into my hand for each use. Perfect for throwing into a purse or a backpack! You could also mix up a batch and keep in a container with a pump for the whole family to use. Using more than the suggested amount of essential oils is not recommended. Keep in mind these are very concentrated, powerful plant extracts. If you are new to using essential oils you may want to test for an allergic reaction before slathering on this hand sanitizer. As with any natural plant, family members could be allergic. For a simple patch test mix one drop of essential oil with about 1 TBSP of olive oil. Rub a bit on the inside of your elbow, cover with a bandage, and wait 24 hours to see if there is any negative reaction.
Another way to make hand sanitizer
12 oz aloe vera 1/3 cup rubbing alcohol 1/3 cup witch hazel 5(ish) drops of tea tree oil 25 drops of lavender oil
8oz. Spray bottle
1/2c. Witch hazel
1/2c. Boiled water
1tsp. Rosemary(dry)
1tsp. mint(dry)
1tsp. Lemon balm(dry)
1tsp. Thyme(dry)
8 drops of lavender EO
6 drops of tea tree EO
6 drops of sweet orange EO
Steep the dry herbs in boiling water. Strain when cool. Meanwhile mix witch hazel and essential oils in the bottle. Add herbal water to your spray bottle with the witch hazel and EO's. Shake well.
Shake well before each use. Spray on skin, clothes, socks, even hair if you want. I also spray our bedding and camp chairs when camping. I spray a cloth collar well for the dog even. Helps with all kinds of biting creepy crawlies. Can even be used to sooth and disinfect bug bites. I will sometimes make this a little stronger and increase the herbs and EO's a bit when the bugs are especially bad.

Facial scrub:
Honey and brown sugar. Mix enough to make the sugar stick together, spread over your face, then rinse off with warm water. It leaves your skin soft and smellying yummy.
My 7 yr old loves when I do it to her. LOL
I've done similar scrubs in the past, but this one with the brown sugar sounds delicious and I bet your skin feels spolied after doing this treatment. I think I might just try this!
It smells great and your skin is so soft and smooth afterward.
