I found some receiving blankets at a garage sale for .25 a piece on Friday for my unpaper towels!!!  I'm so excited.  I didn't want to use ours b/c I'm making each of my girls one special blanket out of theirs.

I'm wondering if I should back them with an old towel for more absorption or if two-sided flannel would be ok.  Thoughts?

Good deal!

Not sure about putting a backing on them. Have you thought about Hemp? or microfiber?

I would go with one side being a very soft,plush.towel. I used to buy robes like that and they were like Heaveb when stepping out from the tub.

I might do that.  I'm trying to put as little $$$ in these as possible.
