So, I pulled out my lease a couple of days ago to look at something and while it was out flipped through to see what exactly it said about animals. Generally they say "No cats, dogs, fish tanks over 10 gallons, exotic pets." Whatever. Figured we'd be covered from expressly breaking it since it's outside and it's none of those, really. Turns out my lease SPECIFICALLY says "no chicken or other birds." Of course. ::sigh::
We went to go make a diaper-egg trade with Sam and visit her lovies. Maggie and the animals, that is. Well, and John. Her cute little niece, too. All of 'em! :)
Their property is awesome! The boys were adventuring all over it. The boys were totally into the chickens. Josh even got a little nudge from a goat horn in the chest and didn't freak out! The same kid who, got kicked out of a salon last year because he was so afraid of the electric clippers you'd have thought someone was stabbing him to death. He was actually admiring his scratch in the shower. Lol.
We've been on the fence about getting our own. Now, I think we're going to do it. We live in a very suburban, tree-lined streets, picket fences kind of town. It's within code to have a couple of hens but it has to be kept on the down low. I found a coop for $150 and it comes with two hens. I'm going to get it next week!

*edi* This is the coop:

Now we will have to come visit you and your chickens! Lol.
I'm glad you guys came to visit! Maggie had a BLAST!
Have fun
Oh, a chicken tractor!
I'm trying to convince hubby to get ducks next.
