Don't put anything on your skin you can't put it your mouth.
Does anyone live by this?
Wednesday, I got a couple tattoos with my mom. Normally I heal them with Luberderm fragrance and dye free lotion. Well when we were getting them I asked the tattoo artist if he had heard of healing them with coconut oil. He said he had no idea. For the first few days you have to use neosporin or triple antibiotic or whatever right? Well John and I were talking about how coconut oil can double as chap stick but neosporin can't be ingested, but it can soak into your skin and be okay? It just doesn't make sense. So I think I'm going to finish healing these tats with coconut oil. I used it on them earlier and it was just fine. I just put the lotion on and it burns a little.
Hmmm......

Keep me posted. Hubs is supposed to be getting his first one (eventually).
I *try* to keep things natural on my skin, too- but I do make some exceptions.
As for coconut oil- it was awesome post waxing- got the goo off and soothed my skin in one swoop! I love that stuff!!
Anybody know of a natural tattoo removal? LOL I really dislike my first one (I was young and stupid- and the artist wasn't great) I am debating removing it since I don't really want to get a new one to cover it up.

Covering it up will probably be cheaper than removal and I don't think there is a way to "naturally" remove a tattoo... besides getting a cheese grater and doing it yourself. Lol

When mom and I were getting our neosporin they had a tattoo fade kit in the same aisle at walmart. It was basically a microdermabrasion kit. You basically scrub them off...

So far the coconut oil is working just fine. The point is to keep them moisturized so they don't scar and it seems to be doing the trick. :)
Yay for CO!!

I love this! Care if I share in another group? We were having a conversation yesterday about the baby shampoo and chemicals...
