Has anybody ever tried it?  Hubby just discovered it online and is determined to try it out.

My dad used to do a little bit of it- I don't know the details- and it has been quite a few years ago.

2 moms liked this
I've dabbled but it was more hydroponics :)
For high school science we didn't have to take the final if we did an experiment! Hydro was mine-go figure, right?!

Well, it doesn't look like it will take much to try it.  We have an old pool pump we are hoping will work and some old plastic containers.  Should be interesting!

Now that would be great!   I wonder if Jay can hook something like that up here.  lol  I wonder if the apartment complex would have an issue with that.  lol!

We actually have three aerogardens, which are basically aquaponic, no fish, tho.

Are those the little systems with the lights and everything?

I think I have one of those somewhere around here...

Yes, they actually work pretty well. But our plants seem to get out of control, even the ones that are for the actual garden. Plus, you have to use some sort of chemical, which I'm not so fond of.

That's one of the things I like about aquaponics.  No chemicals.
