Hubby asked me how our tomato that is really close to being ripe was doing and I told him it's "grocery store red." He laughed so hard at that description but sure enough when he looked at it it was just what he expected.
Isn't that sad?

lol. Does it become a different red or color than that when you grow your own? My mom's use to grow were red, so I guess I'm just curious if it's suppose to be different?
Grocery store farmers tend to pick them earlier since they have to be shipped and then sit in a store and wait to be bought. The tomatoes that we pick out of the garden are redder. More vibrate.

lol. My grandfather grew tomatoes when I was little. I know exactly what you are talking about lol.
