The qotd got me thinking. Genetic modification of food has been around forever. By cross breeding and selectively breeding plants and animals, we modified their genes.
Is this type of genetic modification okay? Is it only lab modification that bothers you?
What (if any) gm is okay with you?

I think it is the lab modifications, and things that can't possibly occur in nature. Like round up in the seeds-

I agree. Things that could happen in nature don't bother me.

Nature would have done it if we needed it. Like those yellow "lady bugs" we made those. They are bite. Go man kind.

So you don't even think cross breeding is okay.

I think it really depends. It's like we have made wonderful dogs by choosing certain ones out of litters. Choosing the smartest ones from the litters or choosing sizes. I'm not much for "genetic tampering". But we have made good things. But some should be left alone. There's a fruit we made and it's called a "grapple" a grape apple. It's not very good for you. There's chemicals in some of the foods we make that our bodies shouldn't have in our systems.

Some things Mother Nature does on its own should be suffice. Here there's a new breed and it's a cyote fox mix. Super smart animals. But forcing some animals to breed to just see what happens is dangerous.

I don't think it's our place to create anything living, except for children. it's not natural if it happens on his own then that's 1 thing but if we have to take things into laboratories splice genes &combine them and then make it that's not
