Dry erase boards
I had a great dry erase board in the garage that never gets used. I wanted to bring it in for the kids to use for practice school work and to help stay organized with reminders of things to do for everyone. The only problem was it had marks all over it that wouldn't come off. I tried dry erase erasers, vinegar, and alcohol. Nothing would completely remove the stains. Now they were just faint stains all over though.
I looked online for ideas and came across baking soda and decided to give it a try. I took an old sock turned it inside out, dampened it and dipped it in some baking soda. Low and behold, it worked and took the stains right out. I now have a great big dry erase board hanging in my dining room next to the table. I can't wait for the kids to get home so we can get everyone's responsibilities organized in one place and still have room to use for practice during homework time.
