Soap Nuts For Laundry

So I got my box of econuts soap nuts this week and I've been using them with great success! I can't believe they work so well, my clothes are getting really clean, I even washed some old shoes and they came out looking brand new. You just put a few into this little cotton satchel and then take them out before you put them in the dryer. You can reuse them 10 times! The only issue I had was when I lost my nuts during a load of wash. I searched and searched through every bit of laundry, and eventually discovered my nuts were in the leg of my pants! Hahaha! I was in stitches telling my husband about it.

I've been wanting to try them! How do you keep track of how many times you use them? Do they leave a residue or scent?

I guess you can take them out of the satchel and look at them, they are supposed to deteriorate as you use them, for me I just do about 4 loads of laundry a week, so I figure I'll change them every 2.5 weeks or so, since they last for 10 loads apparently. They leave no residue at all, and no scent. My clothes are cleaner than usual and towels are fluffy.

I have some but they can be such a pain to find in the washer I hate using them!
I can feel through the bag when its time to replace them.

Where did you buy them? I hadn't heard of them before.
