Since today I had a sitter for a few hours I decided to hang out with a fellow product junkie and hit up a few stores. Of course I couldn't resist some goodies, esp those I had been wanting to try out for a while. I'll try out the products in the next few days to review the products and see which are as great as the reviews state online.
My Ulta haul consisted of Maybeline's Fit foundation and powder. This is one I've been wanting to try for a while. I also picked up my fav eyeliner Rimmel's Exaggerate waterproof liner in Noir. Can't ever run out of my signature black liner. :) Also got NYX Eyeshadow base, which is a primer. I tried the ELF eyeshadow primer and did not like, so I want to find an affordable primer comparable to Smashbox or UD. I saw MakeupAlley.com had Benefit's Boi-ing Industrial Strength concealer rated at a 4 out of 5 so since I have some scars I haven't been able to conceal, I thought I'd give it a try.
My Origans haul was a small one, lol, just 2 items. One being one of my favorite blemish fighting gel Super Spot Remover, it;s pretty gentle and has been a staple of mine for years. While I was there I was introduced to a new product called Brighter by Nature, which is a skin tone correcting serum. Also made with gentle ingredients to not irritate sensitive skin. I am excited to see the results.
My next stop was Bath and Body Works, I was interested in checking out their scents plus they were having a sale. There I picked up a new body spray called Paris Amore, a white tulip and gardenia scent. Also got "My Favorite lip balm" by C.O. Bigelow with shea butter, sweet almond oil and wheat germ to condition and soothe lips in need of immediate care, like now in the winter months. I threw in a staple of mine Rose Salve. This gets used for just about anything, lips, face, cuticles, elbows, knees, chapped or very dry skin patches. True Blue is B&BW's Spa line so I wanted to try their Peppermint face scrub. See if the reviews are as good as they say.
Last stop was Victoria's Secret, where I also wanted to try some products with some good online reviews. I got VS Luminous Cheek and Face Highlighter in The One, a sheer highlighter in a very universal shade, Luminous Shadow and Liner in Temptress, a purple and grey smokey eye combo. Lastly a friend recommended Very Voluptuous Lip Plumper Extreme. I am usually skeptical of lip plumpers, but my friends lips always look amazing. :) Now I usually like VS cosmetics so I am hoping to really like these new products. :)
Now in the next week, I'll try and do some reviews on the new products, can't wait to try out all my new goodies!!!!
great haul i have the fit foundation we have a love hate relationship sometimes it works good for me other days it doesnt lol the nyx i have it to have to say i like it. you have to let me know how that benefit one works thats one brand im eager to try i need to try that rose salve i have spots that get dry on me. bath and body works is one of my fav stores along with vs well and ulta of course :)
How do you apply the foundation? It seems to be meduim to light in coverage. Do you use the Fit powder as well? The Rose Salve has been around FOEVER and serious it works for everything. :)

i use a stipling brush for my foundation i had the powder but i dropped it and it fell all over the floor and i never replaced it with another one i want to try the revlon photoready the two times i have went to walmart or walgreens the shades have been to light for me
so im going to have to check again to see if i can find my shade
