Nail Shellac

Hey ladies, I'm considering getting a UV lamp for painting my nails with nail shellac. Does it make your nails a little stronger (I'm not looking for much stronger)? Does it stay on longer than regular nail polish? What are your experiences? What do you recommend?

It seems people either love them or hate them.  I like to be able to change polish when Iwant and not go through a huge removal process.  Let us know!

I haven't done it but a couple of the ladies I work with have.  It lasts a long time but it is a bitch to get off.  Also, if you want to you can paint over it and then remove it and the Shellac is still on.  I like to change my polish to often to even consider it plus Shellac is really expensive to buy.
